What you can expect from RecipeMate, and what we expect from you: membership, billing, cancelling, and your data.
These terms are an agreement between you and RecipeMate ("RecipeMate", "we", "us") for using recipemate.io and the RecipeMate app. By creating an account or paying for a membership, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the business you sign up for.
RecipeMate is software for food and beverage businesses: recipe and menu costing, invoice and recipe import, a staff recipe book, and shift checklists. It is meant for business use, and you must be at least 18 to sign up.
Give us accurate sign-up details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your workspace, including activity by staff accounts you create or invite. Owners and admins control who has access and can remove team members at any time.
Tell us right away at info@recipemate.io if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
The founding membership costs $30/month for your first location and $20/month for each additional location, or $300/year plus $200/year per additional location when paid annually. Prices are in US dollars and do not include any sales tax that may apply.
Memberships are billed in advance and renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Founding pricing is locked for as long as your membership stays active. If it ends and you rejoin later, current pricing applies.
Adding a location is charged right away, prorated for the rest of your billing period. Removing one lowers your next bill; it does not create a refund for the current period.
If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it and email you. If it still can't be collected, your membership is canceled and the workspace is locked until you pay again.
You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing → Manage billing. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
We don't give partial refunds for unused time, except under the 30-day money-back guarantee described in our Refund Policy.
If RecipeMate isn't right for your business, email us within 30 days of your first payment for a full refund. The details are in our Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.
Your recipes, ingredients, prices, invoices, checklists, and other content belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run RecipeMate for you, including sending text you choose to import to our AI provider to read it, as described on our Privacy & data page.
If your membership ends, we keep your workspace so you can pick up where you left off if you return. You can ask us to export or permanently delete your data at any time.
Only upload content you have the right to use.
RecipeMate's costs, margins, and suggested prices are calculated from the information you and your invoices provide, and parts of imports are read by AI, which can make mistakes. Review imported data and check numbers that matter before you rely on them.
RecipeMate is a tool to help you make decisions. It isn't accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice, and pricing decisions remain yours.
Don't use RecipeMate for anything unlawful; try to access other workspaces or break our security; overload or disrupt the service; scrape or copy the app to build a competing product; or resell access without our written permission.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If we close your account for reasons other than a breach of these terms, we'll refund any prepaid time you haven't used.
RecipeMate is a young product and will keep changing. We may add, change, or remove features, and we'll give notice before removing anything you rely on.
If we make a significant change to these terms, we'll email account owners at least 14 days before it takes effect. Changes never raise a founding member's locked price.
We work hard to keep RecipeMate running and your data safe, but the service is provided as is and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Some features depend on other providers, such as Stripe, Square, Google, our AI provider, and our hosting provider.
To the extent the law allows, RecipeMate isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado. Before going that route, please email us. Most problems can be sorted out quickly.
